Hired to assist with part-time relief work, as needed, for a variety of different tasks and environments:* Safe operation of Ammonia refrigeration and heating systems.* Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning duties assigned by the chief engineer.* Monitor and maintain all the refrigeration and auxiliary equipment, compressors, air compressors, pumps, motors, and fans as per TSSA standards.* Maintain accurate records of temperature readings for freezer, cooler, and ambient zones. Address any abnormal temperature conditions, and notify to chief engineer.* Improve plant efficiency by reporting on operating conditions of equipment; determining operating window, and helping to develop and maintain a maintenance program.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities, and under the direction of the full-time Facility Attendant, the Attendant I (Maintenance Helper) is responsible for:* various cleaning/maintenance tasks as identified by the Maintenance Management System;* cleaning tasks to include mopping floors, cleaning washrooms, change rooms, cleaning equipment, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning windows, etc.* work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.* interacting and providing assistance to the public as required; and,* other duties as assigned.Notable Achievements:Recently promoted from Attendant II to Attendant I (April 2023).

During a 3.5 month internship, I completed my required steam time to gain my 4th Class certification.

To provide customer service by completing assigned tasks relating to receiving and the flow of merchandise through to the sales floor. This will be accomplished by unloadingtrailers, pulling pallets to the floor and assisting in the processing of merchandise all in a safe and cleanenvironment. Function as part of a team to strategically plan and execute duties based on workload and operational functions.* Preparing and resetting receiving area.* Unloading and sorting general merchandise trailers.* Completing live unloading of other types of merchandise.* Maintaining cold chain for refrigerated and frozen receiving and stocking.* Pulling pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.* Assisting in stocking the sales floor as assigned and providing customer service when necessary.* Label and placing overstock merchandise.* Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.

* Change, rotate, balance and repair tires on all sedans, minivans, SUV's and pick-up trucks.* Oil changes on all makes and models of automobiles.* Keep the shop clean and organized.
