As the Senior Director of Client Services, I was responsible for leading the Social Branding Team to plan and execute Rescue’s Social Branding® strategy. Real behaviour change occurs when members of particular culture accept a behaviour as normal. The Social Branding Team develops culturally targeted brands and uses advertising, events, street marketing, and social media to reach and change the influencers within the target culture, creating an opportunity for change to occur naturally. Under my leadership, the team used this strategy to address a wide range of public health and social issues, including youth and young adult tobacco use, vaping, high-risk drinking, cannabis, and opioid use.

As a director at Context, my primary role was to develop, implement and evaluate marketing communication strategies and campaigns. I was responsible for managing a team of consultants and sub-contractors to deliver successful projects that met each client’s unique objectives and budgets.For more than eight years, I worked with a wide variety of organizations including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, BC Lung Association, Translink, Health Canada, and the Governments of BC, Alberta and Nunavut to plan and implement strategies that supported their marketing, communication and public engagement goals.
