One day, when I was just a small kid, my dad brought home a Super Nintendo. From the moment I first watched him play Mario I was hooked. I didn't know it at the time, but that was the beginning of my desire to create.The first time my love for creating and my ability to find patterns and manipulate formulas collided was an intro to web design class in high school. Learning the basics of HTML and CSS showed me that the possibilities were only limited by my ability to manipulate the different elements of my code. It drew me back into creating with a renewed vigor. I continued learning more about web development throughout high school and eventually took over as the webmaster of our student website. My eagerness to learn everything I could about the creative power of programming brought me to Western Washington University. When I entered the computer science major and was finally able to explore the expansive field of CS I was blown away. Here I studied new languages, algorithms, operating systems, databases, machine learning, and game programming. And as I prepare to graduate, I understand how much is left to learn. As I continue into the industry this passion for creating still drives me. There is always more to learn, more ideas to explore, and plenty more to create.
