I have navigated the creative world for over 20 years. In that time I have worked on films, animated features, commercials, books, comic books, video games, and in licensing. I had titles like “creative director,” “art director,” and “advisor.” Several of my projects won awards. I even got my own line of children books published. During that same period of time I also had titles such as “carpenter,” “construction debt collector,” and “water truck driver.”Strange right? Ya, I think so too. But strange isn’t always bad.Strange can also mean resilient, resourceful, and nimble. I learned far too late in life that it is OK to need a career of change, and challenges. It’s OK to thrive in chaos. Most importantly, it is ok to be curious. “Jack of all trades, master of none.” Why is that considered a bad thing? Master of one seems so.... not ME. By being a master of none I have:• Identified opportunities and built the DTC business for Paragon FX Group; conceptualized and led development of +50 high-end collector SKUs within 26 months to capture market share within the growing adult collectibles market. • Drove licensing strategy and established partnerships with Disney, Warner Brothers, TOHO Intl., and NBC Universal as Creative Director at Paragon, representing a huge accomplishment for a startup manufacturer.• Advised 10+ early-stage companies as a mentor and advisor with Stanford University StartX, including Ink’d Greetings and The Cold Brew Project.• Contributed significantly to the 2006 "Best Visual Effects" Academy Award winning Pirates of the Caribbean 2.• Selected by Sonic Team (Sega Japan) as the only US artist allowed to create official art for Sonic BOOM licensing push. My work can be seen on everything from game packaging to ICEE cups. • Collected over $500k in construction debts in a 12 month period - which means nothing but in the writing world this is called a “callback!”• Consulted with and served as Head of Creative for multiple clients; delivered a range of engagements spanning product development, manufacturing optimization, licensing, and collaborations (Tyler Ham Creative 2015 – present).• Innovated production technology at Source3 prior to its acquisition by Meta; optimized 3d printing production process by 30%. Innovated the first ever line of licensed print-on-demand collectibles. • Authored three children’s books, the Rest in Peace series, traditionally published and distributed by Simon & Schuster. (Currently pitching Animated Series)Not bad for a solid C- student with a film degree.
