As the founder and owner of Tyler J Jensen Psychotherapy in Iowa City, IA, I have prided myself in providing the highest level of mental health psychotherapy and case management to individuals across the state. My clinical expertise lies in conducting in-depth client intake assessments based on DSM-5 criteria, ensuring that every individual receives the care tailored to their needs. I have spent countless hours working on my ability to offer SAFE EMDR, Ego State Therapy, and DBT. I am currently engaged in training for NARM and Jungian Psychodynamic Theories. My concurrent position at Three Oaks Behavioral Health and Wellness in Raleigh, NC, has been marked by my roles as a Clinical Intern Mentor and an Outpatient Psychotherapist. I have been pivotal in mentoring budding professionals, providing them with valuable insights into trauma-based therapeutic approaches. My commitment to continuous learning and development has led me to engage in ongoing mental health therapy training, enhancing my counseling scope and understanding of unique therapeutic conditions.My latest academic achievement was earning a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University, where I proudly ranked 1st out of 4,389 graduate students and achieved a GPA of 4.0. In addition to my professional roles, I have also made contributions in the form of a therapeutic aid titled "One Day at a Time", which serves as a therapeutic journal, aiding those in need.Outside of my professional life, I have a keen interest in community outreach, athletics, art & design, and human development.
