Tyler, who managed to earn dual degrees in Marketing and Sports Marketing while also playing collegiate soccer, also balances a very busy dual career schedule that allows him to continue to follow his passion for soccer while also developing into a well-rounded insurance professional.During the day, one can find Tyler working at his first career as a claims professional at Sedgwick, where he was hired into their “Industry Advancement Program” and trained in Sedgwick’s claims’ college. While working at Sedgwick, Tyler has obtained his Self-Insurance Plans (SIP) license; his California Property and Casualty Brokers license; and has begun work toward certification for his Associate in Risk Management.After spending his days working at Sedgwick, Tyler then switches over to his second career as a soccer coach. While Tyler coached various youth soccer teams during his collegiate career, it wasn’t until his collegiate playing days ended at CSUSB that Tyler began his collegiate coaching career as an Assistant Soccer Coach for the Women’s Team at Claremont Mudd Scripps Colleges in Claremont, California. In addition to that job, Tyler is also the head coach of the U-17 and U-12 boys Foothill Storm soccer team. To back all this coaching, Tyler has earned his “D” National Coaching License.Tyler is a serious student of soccer tactics and studies coaches’ philosophies, game films and game management techniques of top European clubs to help integrate into his coaching. He has been a loyal fan of Bayern Munich since 1999. Being a former goalkeeper himself, he has always been inspired by Oliver Kahn.
