Guided the selection and diligence process to award $14M in grants to a portfolio of planning (Year 0), launching, and legacy ventures that center community, innovation, and Expanded Definition of Student Success (EDSS). Successfully launched the Innovation Exchange which showcases and connects innovative leaders across portfolios and created venture learning community strategy. Supported ventures through management assistance and coaching on a diverse set of topics. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, I serve as the organization’s gatekeeper in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of NSBR’s Investment Portfolio. In this effort, I developed mechanisms for analyzing and reporting on NSBR’s portfolio of investments, evaluating individual grantee performance against milestones and overall effectiveness, identifying opportunities to leverage other initiatives or team members in support of grantee performance, and supporting the COO and CEO in identifying gaps to meeting NSBR’s annual supply-side investment goals.

As Student Activities Coordinator & Student Recruitment, I steered all student programming, school culture and admission processes. I provided curricular support to the Science department and coached colleagues in data-led instruction. I identified and provided extracurricular supports for students through wrap-around services, tutoring, outreach, parent engagement and athletic programming. As an optician, I supported the optometrist through scheduling and providing pre-appointment supports to patients. In addition, I was responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, prescriptions and assisted in selection of eyewear.

I researched various youth outreach, statistics and development models and presented information/proposals to city officials. Developed RFP timeline, evaluation matrix, and RFP proposer’s conference materials.
