• Oversee the Parks Department, seasonal staff, and County owned properties including 34 parks, campgrounds, public water accesses, cemeteries, and Lake Washington Regional Park & Campground• Prepares the annual department budget; including all daily bills, transactions, revenues, and expenses• Manage all media, website, social media and coordinating press releases with local media regarding parks• Grant writing to assist in the development of parks, trails, outdoor recreation, and environmental education• Develop relationships with local youth, outdoors and sportsman’s organizations for donations, partnerships, developing parks, and volunteers• Prepare the agenda for the monthly Parks Board meetings, along with presenting to County Commissioners• Coordinate special events, public programming, outdoor recreation, and educational opportunities within county parks system; along with rental reservations of public facilities • Implement the short term and long term goals, mission and vision of Le Sueur County Parks• As County Ag Inspector, work with local cities and townships to make sure landowners are informed of and properly following the MN Noxious Weed Law and Seed Law, along with educating landowners

• Plan, coordinate and supervise Youth and Adult Recreation, Fitness, and Aquatics programs• Supervise approximately 54 different part-time staff members• Monitor the Recreation and Aquatic budgets, secure sponsorship and grant money for programs• Prepare Recreation, Fitness, and Aquatics programs for our Summer, Fall & Winter/Spring Program Guides• Build and maintain relationships with local sports organizations and City of Waseca• Work with local businesses and organizations in town to collaborate on special events• League Director for the South Central Youth Baseball League, a 10U-15U Baseball league in Southern MN

-Work with the Hopkins Community Education Department to teach and coach a variety of classes -Coordinate after school activities with six different elementary schools -Create class goals and prepare daily lesson plans, supervise assistant staff members -Supervise Lindbergh Center and Hopkins High School Athletic Facilities -Set up and tear down of events -Direct customers in the right direction and help them with their membership needs

-City of Chamberlain had recently decided to start a Recreation Department under the City, I was the first Recreation Coordinator that they had. As a one man Recreation Department, my duties included working with the City Engineer, City Council, local sports groups, and schools to build up a Recreation Department from scratch. -Design, implement, market and supervise new recreation activities for all ages, abilities, and demographics. -Work with local sports organizations to coordinate their programs under the eye of the City. -Build relationships with other groups in town to implement a variety of recreation activities -Start up Adult Sports leagues including Men's Softball and Co-Rec Volleyball. -Work with the City Council on the design of a new Recreation Facility that now sits on Main Street. -Coordinate special events including youth basketball tournaments, 5K races, and both youth and adult triathlons. -Supervise all aspects of the outdoors seasonal pool including staff, maintenance, concessions, scheduling, and swimming lessons. -Work with City Council and the community on the needs of a new pool and aquatics facility, that has sense been built now. -Supervise approximately 20 part-time, seasonal, and temporary staff members. -Work to build up a reliable volunteer database that can be used for staffing special events.

-Division One Football Player for three seasons-Division One Student Assistant Football coach for Senior Season after injury-2x Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll-Demonstrated the importance of time management, leadership, commitment, organization, and teamwork skills as well as learning about the impact of community service and volunteer work.-Worked a variety of youth sports camps for all ages and abilities (kindergarten to college recruits)-Assistant Coach for Tight Ends, Run Game & Blocking; Scout Team Defense-Daily Football Operations, Office Management, Film Breakdown, Practice Reports, Game Day Set-up, Team Travel

-Help out with the day to day activities and duties needed to run a University Wellness Center and intramural sports for college students. -Research current Recreation trends and decide what future sports to offer and changes to make to current sports.-Organizing and charting recreation equipment -Supervising Intramural sports leagues

-Organized a free family fun night in the park called All City Playday that was attended by over 1,500 participants and 30 vendors. -Created new activities and programs that could be used in the future. -Started the Ankeny Pickleball League, which has since turned into a very popular program for their department -Supervised nightly adult sports, concessions and staff for their highly attended Softball, Sand Volleyball, and Bean Bag Toss leagues. -Coordinated special events including Friday Night Movie's in the Park and a Concert Series -Lead youth recreation programs as needed -Gained valuable experience in planning and implementing programs, setting-up for large events including the Youth Triathlon and Best Dam Bike Ride.
