I support Enterprise EdTech customers with their cloud adoption and cloud initiatives. I also head up the Teaching & Learning Focus Area of the AWS Education Industry Technical Field Community where we help customers with education related specialty topics such as LMS tuning, LTI, xAPI, Learning Objective alignment, etc.I have a heavy focus on developer enablement and education; hosting lunch and learns, creating POCs with customers, unblocking customer's technical issues, creating blog posts and other forms of published artifacts to help customers achieve their goals.I work with customer executives to understand their strategic goals, and how to align those goals and their teams' use of the cloud. We see this manifested in innovation initiatives, performance tuning, cost optimization, security & compliance adherence, and organizational up-skilling through education initiatives.I have a passion for hiring and mentoring, and spend a large part of my time on enabling internal AWS employees. I do this through formal and informal mentoring, facilitating internal trainings, and working with external AWS partners like Justice Through Code at Columbia University.I'm also an open source advocate. I currently contribute to the Terraform provider for AWS, and have committed to AWS Amplify Video.

I support all Clinical Solutions products and teams. Specifically work with each of the engineering teams across Clinical Solutions as their advocate, sounding board, and to provide technical guidance. The products I support serve tens of millions of users a day, and operate across multiple AWS accounts, and technology stacks; Node.js, Java, and .Net on the server side with react and angular on the front ends. CloudFront and Akamai operate as the CDNs, Cloudflare and other origin protections, API Gateways and reverse proxies for request handling, and other product specific toolsets and technology keep it all humming.Partner with infrastructure engineering to join all cloud hosted Windows based EC2s to domain, implement SSO for IaAM, secure access to content, and implement SSL across the portfolio of products.I work with the product and strategy teams to formulate business cases, estimate costs, and develop solution architectures that adhere to best practices, compliance needs, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.Technical lead and point of contact with external vendors, business units, and clients for initiatives and projects. Facilitate technical aspects of contract negotiation, and design system integrations for corporate partnerships such as HealthStream.I work to standardize the delivery processes and tooling across the delivery teams. I work to upskill team members, and I work to learn all I can from them too. As an individual contributor on one of three scrum teams I was asked to assess the current platform and components, and then to help devise a plan with the team to alleviate technical debt. I wrote code and unit tests daily, did code reviews, and worked on improving the CI and deployment processes. I prototyped and then implemented AWS IAM Roles and Policies for all running instances to remove AWS Keys from source code.I helped to advocate the procurement of OctopusDeploy for release management, and then worked to migrate all build processes to use OctopusDeploy.Responsible as tech lead for the aligned of Dev/Cert/Prod environment configurations and deployment processes. Over the 15 years the platform had been in existence, the platform has been moved through two different data centers and lifted-and-shifted into AWS leading to environmental parity drift. Successfully aligned the environments (software releases, configuration, and content delivery).Managed overall health in partnership with the infrastructure team, responsible for 60+ AWS hosted EC2s serving tens of millions of requests per day.We migrated from TFS to GitHub, and then from GitHub to GitLab. I personally migrated over 100 code repositories from TFS to Git, and updated their build chains to use the new SCM.I spent many hours reverse engineering compiled code and comparing it against source to verify that the code running in production matched that left in SCM by a previous team.I facilitated group discussions on best practice, architecture decisions, and source code management/branching.

As the Software Development Manager, I managed all developers in the U.K., Eastern Europe and Pennsylvania. My primary focus on to launch the custom built multi-tenant eCommerce platform that was positioned to allow Bodek's customers to compete with CustomInk..Net web applications hosted in the AWS cloud.I spent 50% of my time writing code, 30% defining and configuring SCM and related processes, and 20% team management.I provided technical guidance, mentorship, technology strategy, task assignment, and conducted annual performance reviews. Additionally, I acted as I.T. liaison with other business units: Customer Service, Marketing, Warehouse and Fulfillment.

TeleSpectrum is a provider of contact center solutions having contact centers in the United States, Canada and Pakistan. TeleSpectrum provides the following channels of direct communication: Inbound, Outbound, Web, Email and IVR (Interactive Voice Response).My last two years with TeleSpectrum had been primarily focused on project Mercury. My responsibilities were 80% development, and 20% administrative and management. Mercury is an umbrella name for a multitude of custom developed software systems that facilitate Inbound, Outbound and Email communications via CTI links. Mercury has four main parts, Front End Agent Application, Development Environment, Middle Tier and the Data Warehouse. I also facilitate an advisory/development position with regards to TeleSpectrum’s software systems and architecture.
