I Directed digital strategy for The Register-Guard & RG Media Company. I lead digital advertising sales efforts, hired and trained digital sales and tech staff and created and managed a digital services agency building client websites, social and email marketing, video/photo production and content marketing.

Streamline online revenue opportunities, train print and online sales reps, advise and assist with site design, structure and format - where revenue opportunities are concerned.Working also with Stephens Media newspapers in Nevada.

Having been recently promoted to Director of Online Sales and Marketing at The Spokesman-Review, I am in charge of setting online advertising rates including creating online-only and print-online combo rates and managing our marketing programmers and online ad sales executive. I manage the site, including the ad serving, and assist in development of all of our online revenue projects. I work closely with many outside vendors and with multiple departments within the newspaper and I train the print reps on how to sell online ads, which is an ongoing process.

After one year as an Account Executive, I took the responsibility of starting a new sales force from scratch, hiring and training 10 college students to sell advertising in commission-only positions. For 3 months of my time as ad manager I covered the duties of ad director as my boss took maternity leave. During the same time period, I completed the information gathering class at UO, which is affectionately called "Info Hell" by students and teachers alike. After finishing the 100 page research paper and exceeding sales expectations over the winter months at the ODE while my boss was away, I learned that not only can I handle stress, but I thrive on it.
