About Tyler Macleod
As a clumsy kid, I once took a spill and went running to my mother. She reassured me I would be fine but for a small bump on my head. I got cranky though. “You should have bought Preparation H!” I blurted at her. When she asked why, I informed her matter-of-factly, “Because it reduces swelling.”I may not have been the target audience for that particular product (and I clearly misunderstood how it should be used) but I have been paying unusually close attention to marketing communications from a very early age. That early passion inevitably led me to a career in advertising agencies. Today, paying unusually close attention to marketing communications means uncovering the strategy and managing the details of agency-client relationships so everyone achieves their goals. The outcomes are exciting but it’s getting there that’s most rewarding. I seek to understand clients’ environments as well as they do so the agency can uncover insights to launch a big idea. I collaborate with clients to put the right team and processes in place so ideas have the time, space and resources to come to life. My specialty is clearing out obstacles to great work. My mission is to be indispensible to clients. In various account service roles I’ve worked in many industries including telecommunications, beverage alcohol retail, travel, insurance and post-secondary education.
