I am working as an intern for the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District. I, along with another intern, have been tasked with gathering and analyzing data on the sources of contamination found in recycling bins (i.e. trash and material not accepted in the curbside program) in Marysville, Ohio. There is an outreach/education aspect to this internship in the form of tagging bins where contamination is found in order that the homeowner can see what they did wrong and (hopefully) correct their behavior. This internship started May 13, 2019 and has a proposed end date of August 11, 2019.

I worked at Darby Creek Golf Course for five summers. There I often interacted with customers and helped them if they needed it. I had many responsibilities relating to lawn care and some maintenance. I mowed, cut tree limbs, sprayed pesticides from a hand sprayer, and helped repair irrigation when needed. I was also given the responsibility to train new employees with most tasks.
