I am a full time law enforcement officer with Irondale Police Department. I have been a police officer for approximately eight years with two different agencies (Bessemer Police and Shelby County Sheriff's Office). During my eight years I have held many roles, such as; Patrol, Field Training Officer, Marine Patrol Search & Rescue, School Resource Officer, and a Mentor. Once graduating from Pelham High School, I attended Wallace Community College in Selma, where I obtained my Associate Degree in Arts & Sciences. I then transferred to Faulkner University, where I obtained my Bachelor and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice/Administration. I am currently at Walden University to obtain my PhD in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Higher Education. I am in my dissertation phase of the program now and will be writing my dissertation on how leadership inside of a law enforcement agency can have an effect on the relationship between the patrol staff and the community they serve.
