After establishing myself as a single local builder working on my own, the size and number of contracts increased for restoration and refurbishment of complete houses, Tyler Bridgeman Ltd was formed in 1985 to bring in the expertise of two other builders. In 1990 I bought out the other partners, developing and expanding the company. The scale of operations increased rapidly with larger contracts. In 1995 I undertook my first renovation of a house owned by of the large London landowning family estates. After successful completion of that project, I completed 2 or 3 for them every year, and continue to do so. This enabled me to increase my private client base whilst retaining a regular stream of renovation and refurbishment work from a commercial client.

Purchased my 1st house in London, which was derelict, whilst a student of architecture at Westminster University, and “learned building on the job” whilst restoring the house. On graduation, I became self-employed builder undertaking many small contracts for my architectural peers.
