Since graduating from the University of Bristol with a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science in 2021, I have continued to build my knowledge and expertise in many aspects of software development, including databases and cloud technologies, data structures and algorithms, data science, agile development and big data. I am experienced working with agile development methodologies and git technology. Working in a startup, I have had the opportunity to collaborate within all areas of the development lifecycle.During my time at Estated, I have become proficient with SQL and comfortable with manipulating large amounts of data to identify trends. I also built on my experience working with databases and applications within AWS. In development, we worked in an agile environment with test-driven development, using object-oriented practices, mainly working with Java and Python. I have gained extensive professional communication experience from working closely with clients to develop products for them and can utilise those skills effectively to ensure clients’ expectations are met. I have very good teamwork and communication skills and can use these effectively to work towards a team goal. In addition, I have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills which I can effectively apply in software development scenarios. All of this experience has added to the knowledge and skills I acquired at university and I am confident that I will be able to effectively apply them throughout my career. Along with the skills I currently have, I am highly motivated and always eager to improve and learn new things, so I look forward to growing as an Engineer in interesting companies in the exciting world of tech.
