Use of network monitoring tools to analyze/detect plant faults & Outages then carryout work on HFC plant to restore plant integrity. Duties also include fiber/coax splicing, ingress mitigation, RF sweep/balance, leakage repair, replacement of optical/RF equipment & power supplies. Experienced with JDSU/Viavi RF field meters, OTDR, & other coax/fiber RF/Optical spectrum analyzers. Detect & repair equipment issues in Headend/OTN (Including CMTS, patch panels, recievers, transmitters, combiners & sweep equipment) & performing Node Optimization. Survey & Work Order creation for Construction dept. for node splits, plant extensions, forced relocation &/or damaged plant. Resolve customer escalations. Perform ‘On-Call’ shifts/duties, & work overtime as needed.
