Wellbeing Advisor - Adur & Worthing Wellbeing HubWorking with adults and families in the community to provide early health intervention via support, advice, information sharing & signposting to enable them to lead a healthier lifestyle. This covers a variety of areas across both mental and physical health including emotional wellbeing, stress management, weight management, exercise and more. My role and duties include one-to-one sessions, and group work with clients, educational work such as giving talks and hosting webinars plus promotional activities such as attending events and creating links with other services. Being able to tailor my approach and communication to the individual or group is key to connecting and building trusted, honest and respected relationships that will lead to a more successful outcome for the client(s)Main duties, tasks and responsibilities:- Carrying out one-to-one sessions to understand, listen, support and advise on possible link signposting or setting goal oriented habits. This is a mixture of in person, over the phone, via video calls or via email. - Using motivational interview techniques alongside CBT to encourage clients to open up and plan the route forward they can feel confident in pursuing.- Using creative ways to reach target adults and families including developing and building a network of referral routes to and from other service providers for example GPs and other health professionalsActively contributing to service development in order to maximise client numbers, whilst maintaining a high quality of service.- Promoting information on a range of health and wellbeing topics. - Strategising outreach of the service to encourage participation supporting Public Health campaigns such as Mental Health, Stop Smoking, Men’s Health, Diabetes Awareness etc.- Evidence based reporting and client data management.
