I quit after 7 years working in the corporate world.Now, 18 months later, I’ve since relocated to Dubai, scaling 3 businesses and documenting my learnings along the way.How did I get here?2016: I was 18, just a kid in a checked suit working for BNY.I had what I thought all along was my dream job. 2020: Relocated to London to work for a global investment management firm.22, enjoying everything the London lifestyle had to offer. 2023: I quit at 24. No more:- Suits- Rush hour tubes- Drinking coffee like it's waterWhy?Whilst I was grateful for all of the opportunities the job had to offer, I always felt like I wanted more. The dream was to work for myself and forge my own path.So, at 24, I packed up all my belongings in London and traded the city life for a 1-way ticket to travel the world and grow my online business. Since then I have:- Relocated my life to Dubai- Visited 11 countries in 18 months- Scaled my SEO agency to multiple 6 figures- Ran a marathon in sub 4 hours with no training… (not clever)- Started to build a further 2 businesses with my close friend, JakeIt’s not the original path that 18-year-old me had in mind…But it’s one I’ve loved, and I continue learning new things every day.18 months on from making that decision and I'm confident it's the best one I've ever made.
