At Ours, my leadership in the development of a state-of-the-art telehealth/EHR system has been a cornerstone of our virtual therapy sessions. I have managed both product and engineering, steering the architectural design of applications and ensuring HIPAA compliance. My contributions have been critical in launching and maintaining our core business applications, including two innovative apps: our primary teletherapy platform and an interactive learning app featuring multiplayer asynchronous sessions with unique functionalities like drawing and photo booths.Technically, I have been responsible for constructing serverless media pipelines, developing intricate ICS calendaring systems, and devising an internal scheduling system compatible with popular therapy calendar software. My efforts have led to successful integrations with prominent vendors such as Zoom, DocuSign, Stripe, Google Calendar, Slack, and HelpScout, all achieved within the parameters of HIPAA compliance.In my leadership role, I have assumed responsibility for product delivery, introducing robust analytics tools, and establishing effective real user monitoring (RUM) and error reporting systems. The codebase I've developed is both robust and scalable, supporting features like real-time multiplayer flows and bespoke video optimization. I have instituted workflows that automate development operations and uphold code quality and architectural standards. While at Bubbles, I gained experience in creating high-quality, multimedia, collaborative software. I led the implementation of many product features while also participating in intensive code review practices and rigorous quality assurance. The entire company participated in QA sessions for new features across many different devices. Through this practice, I excelled in identifying and preventing regressions across various platforms, gaining proficiency in uncovering issues related to race conditions, poor network conditions, and real-world usage monitoring.My work at Bubbles involved developing multiplayer apps that enabled simultaneous user interactions with documents in real-time. Additionally, I specialized in multimedia technologies, constructing an image CDN using CloudFront that dynamically resized and adjusted images in real-time. I also engineered multiple media conversion pipelines that scaled efficiently with user growth, standardizing video recordings across different browsers and codecs for uniform playback.As a top performer among my peers, I consistently shipped features while maintaining high-quality standards. At Equips, a company who insurances equipment for financial institutions and healthcare providers, I was vital in transforming the company's core technology applications from a FileMaker-based system to a modern, distributed AWS architecture.I was the exclusive code contributor in rewriting the business's core application for most of my tenure. This significant project involved migrating to a system that was accessed through a GraphQL interface, with a data layer consisting of DynamoDB streaming to Elasticsearch, all underpinned by AWS's serverless offerings. I achieved extensive testing coverage (over 80%) and participated in a rigorous code review process.In my architectural role, I designed both frontend and backend patterns that enhanced the application's functionality and user experience. I scaled out a GraphQL API that maintained consistency across all entities while allowing flexibility. Following the successful exit from Easy Agent Pro, I continued to contribute to the company's growth and innovation in the capacity of CTO.In this role, I spearheaded a significant evolution of our technology, with a particular focus on advancing our Internet Data Exchange (IDX) capabilities. I guided the engineering team in establishing direct integrations with multiple Multiple Listing Service (MLS) systems, significantly enhancing the efficiency and reliability of real estate listings displayed on our websites. This strategic move not only optimized our service offerings but also solidified our competitive stance in the rapidly evolving real estate technology sector.During this period, we also made substantial improvements to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. These enhancements were aimed at increasing the system's functionality for small to medium sized real estate teams.

As a Co-founder of Easy Agent Pro, our aim was to revolutionize real estate marketing with an IDX website that capitalized on contemporary internet marketing tactics. My leadership was pivotal in seizing the attention of the real estate industry, drawing over 150,000 visitors to the Easy Agent Pro website.Our concerted efforts led to the successful sale of the company, a deal valued in the multi-million dollar range.I played a central role in scaling Easy Agent Pro's web application, which efficiently managed hundreds of millions of requests per month.In my leadership role, I skillfully directed diverse teams across marketing, product development, and engineering, while also contributing significantly to the codebase.Our product team utilized a combination of automated and manual tools to gather user feedback, error reports, and real-world monitoring data.
