Fermat’s Library is a platform for illuminating academic papers. Just as Pierre de Fermat scribbled his famous last theorem in the margins, professional scientists, academics and citizen scientists annotate equations, figures and ideas, all in the margins.

Worked with the scientific computing and systems biology groups on developing computational and statistical methods for analyzing biological data.

Developed a software diagnostics company for infectious diseases, a novel platform that rapidly identifies pathogens in sequence data by using proprietary bioinformatics algorithms and pathogen databases. Partnering with 3 Harvard Medical School and MIT Broad scientists; went through the Harvard Innovation Lab life sciences incubator in the summer of 2016.

Worked with companies like SY Partners, AARP, Impact Health, and Carpenter Group on strategy and data science problems.

Led data analytics/insights and market research projects for the 14 startups in the Fall 2015 NYC Techstars class. Companies include Impact Health, Foodworks, Gorgias, GreatHorn, and Slash.

• Developed and applied computational and statistical methods to analyze large-scale genomics datasets including copy number variation, genome-wide association and gene network studies to elucidate the genetic architecture of psychiatric diseases. Conducted independent research and regularly presented findings to lab.• Generated and managed pipelines for handling and analyzing large datasets, including quality control, genomic phasing/imputation and data visualization pipelines.• Worked with innovation office to develop health-tech apps for patients, doctors, researchers and nurses

Successfully pitched at the MIT 100K competition the importance of using a crowdsourcing platform to maximize resources in a solution-driven exchange for the problems shared worldwide by small NGO’s and grass root innovators. Conceived the essential platform features and built the prototype to engage the participation of community members, engineers and consultants. Project was carried out in conjunction with the International Development Innovation Network (IDIN), a partnership with MIT. Piloted the project in April 2014.

• Part of investment team, used fundamentals-based long-term strategy for investing in tech companies, primarily focused on consumer tech• Conducted primary research on companies (consult former employees, competitors, customers, industry experts, suppliers, sell side analysts); built financial models for potential portfolio companies with focus on finding key drivers of revenue (using primary research)

• Developed a framework to detect Chinese fraud and devised an implementable strategy for building baskets of fraudulent Chinese equities to short• Analyzed the positions/strategy/processes of a hedge fund that HVS was invested in. Met with the hedge fund’s managers and analysts; pitched to HVS security analysis of equities¬

• Reviewed research papers published by JPAL; applied econometric principles to manage/clean the data sets using Stata so that they correctly reflected the different variables and information gathered

• Developed a website for the Macro Connections Group, similar to “Hot or Not” to measure the changes in cultural perceptions of art over time, by capturing time series of data and developing visual interpretations • Programmed in JavaScript to develop visualizations/graphs for user-input data; used HTML for front-end design

• Collaborated with CAVS fellow on designing a long-term outdoor interactive garden art installation at MASS MoCA• Brought math/physics concepts to the project, while working on a team with two engineers to design a technically feasible, durable exhibit within budgetary constraints• Worked as designer/landscaper, assisted in laying out and building outdoor art installation to reflect an alignment between the local Berkshire environment and the geometric concepts of wave theory
