Beginning work in the Culos-Reed Health and Wellness Lab, pioneering one of North America's only exercise programs for children with cancer. Researched the effect of exercise on brain and cardiovascular health, drawing the conclusion that it is highly successful in reducing risk markers for chronic disease, while also providing positive benefits to quality of life. Collaborated on a major study to look into the prevalence and severity of concussions in minor hockey in Canada.
