Tyne Jeanae is a passionate activist, artist, and educator who combines her skills and expertise in theatre, human rights, and policy development to pursue freedom and justice. She graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a B.F.A. in Theatre Studies and a B.A. in Human Rights, with a minor in Public Policy and International Affairs. She also received multiple awards and honors for her academic excellence and social justice work, such as the Santos Rodriguez Scholar, the Delta Red Tank Business Runner Up, and the John L. Freehafer Award.Tyne is currently an actor at A.D. Players, a professional theatre company that produces compelling and inspiring shows. She also works as a certifying full spectrum doula, providing holistic support and care to pregnant and birthing people. She has a well-established history of delivering substantial results in various social justice organizations, such as UnlockingDoors, the Deason Criminal Law Center, and the Afiya Center. She founded BLM @ SMU, a social activist app called Equity, and served as the social justice chair of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Tyne excels in cultivating engagement, fostering creativity, facilitating healing, and promoting growth through inventive approaches. She hopes to work with you soon!
