I write and upload a daily column as well as another daily feature involving photos. I also cover any local news assigned to me. My job entails a professional appearance and attitude, especially regarding sensitive issues. I interview, collect data, photograph, write articles and maintain social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter, according to the topic and per my editor’s needs.

I worked for the county to ensure a more comfortable living environment for the elderly in our community. My responsibilities included maintaining the cleanliness of clients home, grocery shopping, driving to doctor’s appointments, preparing meals and any other tasks essential to the everyday survival which the client may not be able to themselves.

Responsibilities include cashiering and up-selling, customer service, food handling, teamwork, closing and opening duties and all facets of maintaining a welcoming environment for my fellow cast mates and patrons. I also enlist unique suggestive selling to further secure the customer gets what they desire and have an entertaining experience.

Responsible for quality customer service and maintaining cash register, ending and beginning the day with organizing all the required documentation using the managerial codes provided to me. Responsible for ensuring the station runs smoothly, especially when left alone. This includes gas spills, technical difficulties with the pumps, car wash and/or registers, customer complaints and monitoring deliveries and vendors. Also must know and maintain safety and government laws such as tobacco and alcohol sales. Good customer service skills are a requirement and are especially important in this environment due to the quantity and diversity of our patrons. Our goal is to provide a happy and safe atmosphere that will ensure repeat business, so building and maintaining a report with customers, especially the regulars, by predicting their wants and needs is a must.
