Buckminster FullerEveryday young women and children in Nepal experience or are at risk of -- violence, exploitation, neglect, unnecessary placement in orphanages, living on the streets, harmful traditional practices including forced child marriage, sexual discrimination, and forced labor; across homes, institutions, work places, and communities. As a pioneering social enterprise based in Nepal, One Tribe works to create sustainable business solutions to advance its social mission: to be a source of structures and strategies to help at-risk young women in Nepal have a better future. Empowering Nepali youth to build their own futures is our passion. Inspiring local solutions, systemic reforms and social change to help at-risk young women in Nepal is our vision. One Tribe Cafe is designed to serve as a revolving 'skills training platform' for at-risk young women, who will benefit from mentoring, social support, versatile business skills training, and certification in all aspects of cafe and gift shop management and job placement assistance upon completion of training. We provide a haven of peace and beauty, delicious and healthy food, a place surrounded by art, inspiration and the best coffee in town. And we do this by creating jobs for marginalized youths, growing our own organic food sustainably as much as possible, and being responsible to our community and the planet.
