“I want to be a modern-day Renaissance woman,” I wrote in my mission statement as a young college student. I’ve always believed in reaching for the stars. Fast-forward to the present, where I am an author, podcaster, public speaker, content creator, and multiple-award-winning educator. I am a modern-day Renaissance woman—I believe in speaking things into existence. I believe there are always new things to learn, which is what attracted me to digital marketing and social media. The ever-changing landscape fulfills my need to stay curious, to always be learning, and to stretch myself to try new things. I believe life is about the journey. Connecting with people feeds my soul, so I love interviewing people to discover more about their lives and passions. Whether it is hosting the Building Bold Connections Podcast for Coles College or live streaming with the Digital Media Track of Dragon Con, I’m excited to share time and space with people from different walks of life. I believe in helping people find their passions and missions in life. Whether that is developing courses to capture students’ attention and develop job-related skills or speaking in workshops or on panels to continue the conversation about media-driven topics, I excel at helping people understand and see the bigger picture. I believe in embracing what makes you unique and being authentic. What you see is what you get with me. Pink hair, geeky jewelry, dog hair on my jacket, and an eclectic style are probably what you will notice, but I promise – I am not what you expect; a lot is going on behind the scenes, and probably some coffee.
