I joined the business when it was first set up. In order to prepare the business for first production I was involved in setting up systems and processes. This included:• Setting up Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Manufacturing - including creating suppliers, customers, product codes, BOMs.• Implemented Issue 6 of the BRC Standard and achieved A Grade in the first three months of production• Created and approved the HACCP/VACCP documentation and process flows.• Simplified the traceability procedure in order to streamline the audit process. Reduced the trace time to less than two hours.• Implemented Issue 7 of the BRC Standard and achieved A grade in the company's second year.• Created SOPs for all machines on site.• Managed staff training records and trained all staff in induction procedures, food safety/HACCP, operational and safety procedures.• Manage batch traceability from goods-in through the production process to goods-out, ensuring FIFO procedures were followed and maintained mass balance records.• Liaised with existing and new suppliers to agree purchasing contracts, achieve satisfactory payment terms and negotiate prices across circa 75 raw materials. Responsible for all purchasing using MRP tools.• Manage the daily accounts using Sage Line 50 and ensure that all ledgers are kept updated. Responsible for credit control and ensuring prompt payment of overdue invoices. • Responsible for creating and updating the production plan for 5 mixing vessels and 40 SKUs across 5 production lines.

Low Moor

Admin work which included: creating production efficiency reports, maintaining records of production output, monitoring and reporting on downtime. Created reports to monitor attainment to planned output rates on a per-product basis. I conducted a gap analysis of the SOPs for all production lines and then created all missing SOPs within a three month timeline. I began a "What Good Looks Like" project for all finished goods in order to reduce customer complaints. Final project involved working offsite to oversee new plant trials to create SOPs.
