• Setup Single-Sign-On (SSO) access using web services from the Nielsen Answers Portal to the department’s custom web reporting platform. • Managed the porting of reports from a desktop based system to the company’s new standard web based system. • Developed custom web based reports in ASP.NET. The backend was switched from Microsoft SQL Server to Oracle by the time of deployment. Setup both the SQL Server and the Oracle environment internally and developed against it.• This custom web application also provided exports to standard Office applications. It did so by converting the web tables and chart views to XML and streaming it as a file via the web.• Developed an application in Excel using VBA and SQL to automate the creation of Excel based snapshot report decks. These reports offer standardized table and charting views for clients. It also creates an automated front end menu for the finished report. This application was supported and extensively used to create such reports in many internal offices worldwide.• Upgraded several internal tools to aid with generating relational data output for custom web reporting system.• Created an easy to use utility for operations that used Oracle API programming to refresh, create, or delete new data sets into remote oracle server without the need of a dedicated DB analyst to do the data refreshes.• Used VB.NET to completely re-create an updated version of an application that can be used to manipulate and change standard databases. This tool also uses XML to store internal parameters. This db application is still used widely within Nielsen’s International Solutions department.• Assisted Client Service in selling toplines as a service.
