I, along with Pastor Mary Overstreet-Smith are the founders of the short term transition house for men and/or women. I write the policies for the house, I oversee the business and finance (bookkeeper), I observe and counsel the residents by their request, I do case management, interviews, keep an adequate check list on whether the tenants are upholding their contract agreement or not. I manage the maintenance of the house and provide prayer upon request with residence that seek spiritual quidance. I organize fund raisers, being that the church house is a non-profit. I work with the Pastor at times on her television broadcast to ask for donations to support the house.

My duties as a relief counselor at VOA is to provide transportation to clients for legal/ medical appointments, for NA or AA Meetings, monitor the behavior of the clients/guest at the residential facility, provide support and counseling when needed. Also I facilitate groups which has to do with culture and addiction and a group which has to do with men of color. At times I relieve primary counselors of their caseload when they take vacations.

The Evangel Temple Church's house was named "The Hope House" and it housed recovering substance abuse patients. My duty was to observe and redirect the various behaviors which might prove to threatening in the house. I facilitated a group on Life Application Bible as it applies to recovery, a group on "Thinking Errors." I prepared the meals for the 20 clients we had at the facility. I ordered all supplies and took inventory of all food items. I ministered over the Sunday School classes which were held in the Sanctuary for the house on Sunday. I relieved any of the counselors from their group whenever staff took vacation. I performed outreach ministry to the homeless and teenage community in downtown Portland and Vancouver Washington.
