I am a dedicated professional with a diverse background in both technology and healthcare. I graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, specializing in industrial electronics and entry-level robotics systems. My career began with a five-year tenure at the Yo Program, where I served as a computer lab monitor, administering TABE tests, GED preparation, and life skills assessments. During this time, I also worked as a tutor and scholastic mentor for at-risk youth.After completing a multi-skilled technician program, I became certified as a CNA, GNA, phlebotomist, EKG technician, and in medical terminology. I focused on the CNA/GNA aspect of my training and dedicated ten years to this field. My passion for technology led me back to the tech industry, where I initially concentrated on medical technology and autonomous systems. I then acquired my Part 107 FAA certification for commercial drone operation and have been flying commercially and recreationally, as well as instructing, for the past eight years.Over the last five years, I have built a robust network through private and community work. Most recently, I have been involved with the Center for Technology Access and Training (CETAT) and Governor Wes Moore’s Department of Service and Civic Innovation. At CETAT, I created the “Road to the Skies” initiative, introducing participants to drone technology and its applications in both the civic and private sectors. This program culminated in participants earning their TRUST certificates for recreational drone flying. Additionally, I developed curricula for audio, video, and photography as part of CETAT’s Create Initiative summer program, which included the creation of a hydroponic wall that yielded four full harvests for the community.For the past decade, my focus has been on emerging technologies, including drones, virtual reality (VR), infrared (IR), and autonomous systems. I actively network with multiple community organizations, primarily on the west side of Baltimore, to foster technological advancement and community development.
