About Tyrone Mcneil

Since 1999 I have been involved in First Nation education, starting at the local Sto:lo (Fraser Valley) and expanding to provincial and national levels. Actively involved in negotiating education policy, program guidelines and resourcing.2005 to present have have been the political representative for BC First Nations education as the Chiefs Committee on Education and the technical representative as President of the First Nation Education Steering Committee.Current activities also include President of BC First Nations Technology Council, Board Member on First Nation Children & Family Wellness Council, Chair of Seabird College and Board Member of Seabird Island Economic Development Corporation.As Manager of Stqo:ya Construction i now have the opportunity to train our members and employ them in construction in a range of opportunities that include forestry, road building & civil work.Past activities include Chair of the First Peoples' Heritage, Language & Culture Council and Chair of the First Nation Early Childhood Development Council.
