Currently I am responsible for the academic support and discipline of over 800 (of 3,200) students in a high performing and diverse school district. My accomplishments include developing a successful alternative to suspension model through Positive Behavioral Strategies which has encouraged hundreds of students to increase their GPA by reducing their absences. My responsibilities include directing professional development strands to research the impact of educational disparities through a race and equity lens, administering state testing and developing action plans in data forums to examine student achievement. Being a member of the District Equity Leadership Team (DELT), which examines school policies and practices to ensure equity for all staff and students, enables me to achieve success for my district’s goals, cultivate strong interpersonal relationships and develop stakeholders. In previous years, I chaired several committees including School Improvement Team (SIT) and Mixed Level Advisory Committee (MLAC). Under my direction, MLAC submitted recommendation to the district Superintendent which resulted in the reorganization of the entire One Humanities and English curriculum and grading practices. Ultimately, these changes expanded access to rigorous Mixed Level and Advanced Placement classes.

As a fine Arts Teacher, I was responsible for directing students in developing creativity throught the exposure of art history, teachnques and the examination of proffesional art.

AT Barrington High School, I worked as the Sculpture teacher and developed the Sculpture Club. Students utilized basic 3D skills to build forged, steel benches for neighboring schools and participated in community art exhibitions.
