I am currently studying AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. I had to make some changes due to our company becoming a casualty of the Covid situation. I am currently working in the accounts dept at Eakins Ltd mainly purchase ledger.My ideal position would be in a role of accounts assistant so I could learn in a practical environment as well as continuing my self study to increase my book knowledge also. The majority of my working life for the past 15 years or so, has been managing a travel and tourism company. I also owned and ran my own money sending and receiving bureau for 10 years. I did every aspect of it, from sales to customer service to sorting bonds and licenses, dealing with customer grievances to day to day banking and all related bookkeeping.My early career was as a touring musician which was a great introduction to business and life in general as you had to control everything from budgeting, to travel arrangements, to hiring of venues and equipment.I have also taught self defence privatelty for the past 12 years which i still do. In my free time i love to spend time in the water. Surfing , paddle boarding, open water swimming and beach clean ups. I have a passion for this and making sure its as stunning a place tio spend time for the next generation as it has been so far for me.
