Music was intrinsic to my childhood; I was raised in a Pentecostal family where singing and playing guitar were a fundamental part of daily life. As I matured I adopted soulful rhythm and used emotion in music-making, taking inspiration from artists such as James Brown, Sam Cooke, Hendrix, Nat King Cole, The Four tops to name just a few. My exposure to gospel songwriting, courtesy of my mother, and my eclectic taste in popular culture has contributed to my style of songwriting and music production.From a very young age, music dominated my spare time and I knew that I was set to pursue a career in songwriting and performance. At the age of 17 I began playing publicly with (“Hype the Honest, Pretty Flowers, Race in Rhythm”) and became play listed at events showcases and radio all over UK. This solidified my resolve to make music and look for a deal that would formalise my career choice, at one point I was approached by songwriters and artists, such as Paul Fairey, who offered me the opportunity to join the band ‘5ive' which I declined, knowing it was not quite the right choice for me at that time.In 2001 'Jarva' was born, a group of like minded musicians who enjoyed playing together, but as success required more and more travel, sadly some of the band members could not commit to extensive travel that was necessary, and 'Jarva' split in 2005 just as we had been approached by A&Rs from some of the leading giants of the entertainment world. Since then I have enjoyed song writing and producing my own music in my home studio. I have written and produced Stone Cold, Call Me, London City... my repertoire is wide and eclectic and in March 2014 I formed Jam Crush Studios, a bespoke recording and production studio.
