• Performed as a loop operator during blood loop testing that required the handling of bovine and human blood and leading a group of test engineers to follow 7+ testing protocols for product design verification towards a 510k FDA submission.• Contributed to test method developments including a new test method by serving as a loop operator to overall improve current testing strategies and reduce future cost for testing.• Assisted with data review of testing results and design verification protocol and report writing of 3 testing structures for developing product. • Facilitated verification of European Union REACH and RoHS compliance for four modules of developing product by researching the directives and compliance documentation, performing quality assessments, and writing 3 lab studies that document and describe this process.

• Compounded sterile mixtures including antibiotics, bladder irrigations, diuretics, vasopressors, continuous renal replacement therapy, investigational drugs, controlled substances, and chemotherapy using aseptic techniques in compliance with USP 797.• Utilized BD Pyxis IV Prep for quality assurance and accuracy by preparing IV medications gravimetrically and volumetrically.• Maintained a clean and sterile work environment by performing daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings on IV hoods and equipment and properly disposing expired drugs; ensuring drugs and compounding items are adequately stocked.

• Prepared labels and filled 100-200 prescriptions daily. • Pre-stocked and packaged common vials and medications to decrease customer pick-up and prescription production times.• Directly assisted an average of 40 customers per day with prescription issues including refills, brand vs. generic medications, and insurance coverage to increase customer satisfaction and retention overall.

• Conducted research in Professor Peter X. Ma's Polymeric Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Lab under graduate student Sam Renato Navarro. • Loaded model drug into modified poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) microspheres to control degradation and release rate in a medium that simulates ionic concentrations of the human body.• Achieved an immediate and delayed release of 27 days for model drug, and statistically equivalent sizes for microspheres asserting that polymeric delivery systems are viable for modulation of smooth muscle cells’ phenotypic expression

Through an internship progrm created by Pathways to Excellence mentiship program, I assisted nurses with the care of patients through room maintenance and satisfaction of patients’ needs to establish and maintain a clean and healthy environment.
