• Create trade magazine for the Model Agency Industry.* Responsible for each issues launch, distribution, and overall business management.* Assume financial responsibility for the publication via management of editorial departments and sales staff. Meet regularly with publication board to discuss issues, plans, and business relating to the publication.• Assign and edit all feature-length features, articles, and stories including think pieces.• Reject writing that appears to be plagiarized, ghostwritten, published elsewhere, or of little interest to readers.• Manage and coordinate with editors and writers on content ideas, suggestions, and contacts compatible with editorial objectives. Provide story content suggestions where appropriate.• Work with editors to determine the overall magazine mix, paying special attention to long-range planning.• Review all articles and photographs for accuracy as well as potential libel or slander.• Work closely with the publishers, advertisers, and event sponsors.

• Responsible for delegating tasks to staff members, managing staff.• Work closely with the publisher and strategically plan jointly, to achieve budgeting goals.• Represent the publication at social gatherings and business events.• Hire and oversee associate and assistant editors.• Assign articles, suggest ideas, handle problems, keep staff on schedule and discourse questions from department editors.
