In March 2005 my wife and I started our own recruitment company MC² (www.mc2.co.za) focusing on the IT industry in the Western Cape. Over an 8 year period MC² grew to be a formidable player in the IT recruitment space in South Africa. Tyrone was involved in building a powerful website, which allowed our consultants to track applications, and respond to candidate via our web portal. I integrated the website with all the major job boards in SA, so that we could push new vacancies and accept new applicants directly between our systems, without the need to recapture cv's and job adverts. The website is also fully intergrated with Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I was also involved in building the business through various marketing efforts and meeting with clients to discuss how we could provide a better service. I have been working on a contract for Itemate Solutions - a leading provider of telecom operations and management solutions to communications service providers worldwide. I am currently the Dev Team Lead on the MTN Next project, which will see Itemate Solutions roll out Point of Sale solutions to MTN in a number of African Countries.I am also required to provide quotations regarding the number of man hours required to complete certain projects in order for Itemate to provide the clients with accurate quotations on software enhancements and new projects. I also also assists the Business Analyst and Project Manager in various aspects of their daily work.

I founded Teedu in January 2012, and Developed the entire website on my own. Development took around 6 months, and after running the business for a further 7 months we were eventually featured in the February 2013 edition of Entrepreneur Magazine. Sadly we had to close the doors a few short months later as we were unable to secure additional funds to keep financially viable.Teedu is a fun and exciting way of sharing your photos with family and friends, while you interact with your favourite brands, places, and things to do.Take a photo of yourself completing a mission, upload it on Teedu and share with your friends.As you complete each Mission you earn points and level up. Tyrone is currently responsible for the DaimlerChrysler account in East London, as well as the Dimension Data Western Cape account. These accounts are seen as very strategic as not only are Dimension Data a key shareholder, they are also one of Paracon’s largest clients. Tyrone is also the champion of Paracon’s Learnership programme. This involved sourcing and interviewing young IT graduates, sending them for training at a training provider, and then selling them to Paracon’s corporate clients. Tyrone is actively involved in the Graduate programme, in which he mentors, and advises the young graduates not only on IT related subjects but also on life skills and professionalism techniques.

Tyrone was involved with the configuration changes and enhancements to the SAP HR module at DCSA. Providing technical input in respect of new developments.Obtaining business requirements and converting them into IT technical specifications, in line with standard SAP HR functionality. Preparing specifications in respect of new developments and enhancements to the SAP HR system, in conjunction with HR management and users.Assigning workload to ABAP programmers, and monitoring progress.Responsible for ensuring that system related problems are identified and resolved on time and according to specifications.Chairing weekly HR systems project meetings with HR Management and users.
