Tyrone Oglesby started his career as a U.S. Army trained photogrammetrist/intelligence analyst deployed to Wiesbaden, Germany, Texas and Georgia. He now has more than three decades (30+ years) of Civil Engineering, GIS, and Information Technology (IT) administration experience, with the last fifteen exclusively dedicated to ArcGIS Enterprise implementation, configuration, and administration. His skills include IT project management and enterprise architecture. He also has expert proficiency of server concepts to include installing, configuring, backup, repairing, and patching operating systems and applying U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Mr. Oglesby has significant experience working with a variety of U.S. and allied unclassified and classified networks. This work entailed addressing network and application cybersecurity issues, and providing tier 2/3 IT and GIS help desk support. He has bolstered his extensive Civil Engineering and Environmental Management knowledge into expert best practices for the implementation of GIS platforms all over the world. In his project management roles, Mr. Oglesby has supervised internationally diverse teams of 5-20 persons, overseeing budget, hiring, planning, and reporting. As an authorized Esri instructor he has mentored dozens of individuals in GIS from the novice to expert level. He has lived and worked as an Esri software suite subject matter expert (SME) in Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, the United States, South Korea, Japan, and Iraq. Currently, Mr. Oglesby is serving as a Senior GIS Solutions Engineer for NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR) in The Hague, NL supporting Core GIS Increment 3.x deployments worldwide. His charter is the full range of Esri Enterprise installations, configuration, implementation, and administration for disparate sites throughout Europe. He is an integral teammate of the NCIA JISR Core GIS Systems Engineering group where quality assurance is collaborative. These deployments are done in a multi-tiered securely classified and virtualized network environment.
