Progressing from a novice, to qualified, to handling increasingly complex cases and working on the business rather than just inside it I have moved into my final role for the firm of Partner.My skills have grown through one-to-one interactions with clients, day to day operations, and input on the fund research and technological solutions the business deploys. Each new client case or change of direction from existing helps to shape the growth of my financial knowledge.The primary goal in the short to medium term is increasing my business operations expertise by working on Tyrrells IFA rather than inside it.

I am currently qualified up to a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) which I completed outside of work while acting as a full Paraplanner. The completed qualification has allowed my role to mature from a Paraplanner level into a full Advisory function. The goal going forward is steadily increase my responsibilities at Tyrrell & Company IFA LLP whether through greater solo interaction with clients or having a larger input in the solutions and technology the business implements. The final aim is to provide continuity for the clients by building a long lasting relationship with myself prior to their current adviser soft retiring from the running of the business and for his eventual full retirement in the future.

I am currently training to become a certified Financial Adviser while providing ongoing documentation and technical support at Tyrrell & Company IFA LLP.Examinations currently undertaken at CII for Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning include:-- R01 Financial services, regulation & ethics [Passed]- R02 Investment principles and risk [Passed]- R03 Personal taxation [Passed]- R04 Pensions and retirement planning [Passed]- R05 Financial Protection [Passed]- R06 Financial Planning Practice [Passed]The work I complete at T&C include providing administration support via documentation analysis, data entry, file maintenance, and client history consolidation alongside a research and development role improving our current processes from updating our dated reporting systems to redesigning our client structures and documentation. One prime example of research and development improvements is my redesign of our Cash Flow forecast system. So far every client we have demonstrated it to has provided extremely positive feedback.Further to this I act as a full paraplanner providing draft reports and joining meetings to take notes while also meeting all clients to slowly build up a long and lasting relationship as I complete my qualifications.The current goal is to become competent as a financial adviser.

# This role was secondary in nature to my financial role at Tyrrell & Company IFA LLP #A small selection of Website projects I have completed over my time at Tyrrell & Company while studying at University and during my early training to become a certified IFA.The first step is an initial meeting to discuss through the structure of the website and what key areas the client would like to push forward alongside consolidating any previous content such as old websites, logo branding, or key awards they may have received.Iteration is then used to rapidly create and modify a website design to the clients specification with continuous communication until we are both satisfied that the website completes what we initially set out to do. Finally I will then go through the website and confirm the site conforms to modern SEO practices before placing the website live and submitting it to major search engines.Skills used include:- HTML & CSS- PHP & SQL- Image Editing software [Gimp 2 and Inkscape]- CMS such as Joomla and Wordpress- Wide range of associated CMS plugins

After my summer position as an office assistant at Tyrrell and Company I was offered an off-site data entry role to fill out Insurance Quotes and compare the pricing options available on the market whether life cover or mortgage protection. These quotes were required to be completed within a strict 2 day deadline to provide a speedy response to clients while requiring complete accuracy of data.This enabled me to fully appreciate and take on board the skill to plan my time more efficiently as I had to complete this role around a busy University lifestyle.

This was a summer position over two years while I was undertaking my studies. I worked within a small team where I completed such tasks as helping create new form layouts within Excel and manually moving over a 100 client file archives into a new more efficient structure. The first year for work experience I worked strictly alongside a medium sized team of accountants in the goal of deciding whether I wished to study accounting at university. I gained an insight into the dynamic structure that was required of a good team such as the communication between staff to keep the system running smoothly.Initially my interests were pushed towards computing rather than accounting due to the placement offer at UEA and accommodation available at the time.

Involved working in a small team delivering education to people whom were on probation and servicing a community sentence order. This involved physically refilling clients completed work to the specifications required along with updating a database system while all the time communicating with challenging customers. This was the first role where I had to strictly adhere to health and safety procedures.
