As a Graduate Teaching Assistant I was responsible for teaching and assisting four undergraduate chemistry lab classes. I was responsible for setting up the laboratories, conducting classroom instructions, and leading discussion sessions. Also my responsibilities included tutoring students, preparing tests, grading lab reports and tests, and inputting grades into students file.

Medical Scribe position responsible for facilitating patient flow through the patient encounter and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. Assist the medical providers by accompanying them during the medical history-taking and exam, recording details of both into the medical record, and coordinating departmental resources regarding tests, orders, radiology, and results.

My overall goal was to shadow Scott Jarrell, PA-C, while learning the roles of Physician Assistants and Medical Doctors in a dermatology setting. Witnessing clinical consultation and minor surgery were a part of daily observations.

I performed as a Quality Assurance Chemist responsible for quality assurance and controls of food ingredients. I performed analytical lab tests on pre-shipments, in-process product, and final products. Collaborated with manufacturing personnel to adjust production or product parameters to ensure all shipments meet specification. I also maintained quality records, databases, documentation, sample inventory, chemical inventory and laboratory supplies. I performed instrumentation calibration and utilized analytical testing results to determine trends in product manufacturing.

My duties were to assist with nuclear forensics and volatile organic compound emissions R&D projects and the development of new technologies. The efforts included conducting lab experiments with ICO Spectroscopy.

My duties during the Medical Exploration Program included not only shadowing but also assisting the physicians during the medical treatments, tests, and follow-up consultations and attending lectures. Each week I had to write a report describing my experiences and highlighting what I learned. In each area I witnessed and learned various procedures and diagnostic methods as well as how to relate the results to the patience's needs.
