Responsible for supervising one shift of LV associates (Union Plant); directly supervised 20 employees (16 operators, 3 quality inspectors, and 1 lead technician); ensured that safety, quality and production goals were met; prior experience with General Cable included the following – Machine Operator (2006-2008), QA Lab (2008), Production Coordinator (2009); as Lead Technician given special assignment to create a training program for all of the extrusion lines and quality areas in the plant.*Increased the Direct Labor efficiency of the shift in 2010 by setting expectations and holding associates accountable.*Lowered the DPMU of defective parts per million units in 2010 by attacking the root cause of the non-conforming product.*Raised the OEE of the critical machine in the LV value stream from in 2010 by developing a daily process audit and doing SMEDs on the changeovers on the line.*Completed a DMAIC project on scrap and reduced plastic scrap on a changeover from 75 lbs. per changeover to less than 10 lbs. per changeover by doing SMED events.*Developed “Operator Certification” training manuals.
