 Managed the United Sates Army Reserve Command Industrial Hygiene (IH) program from 2006-2010 and conducted hundreds of assessments to determine soldier exposures to heavy metals, noise, carbons, volatile organic compounds (VOC). Part of the team that recalibrated the United States Postal Service respiratory protection program as a response to the anthrax exposures in the early 2000’s. Traveled the country to perform training and thousands of quantitative respirator fit tests. Assessed hundreds of Federal buildings for the Social Security Administration (SSA) and United States General Services Administration (GSA) for asbestos, lead, and mold. During the 2009 pandemic, conducted dozens of facilities Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments for assurances of air change rates and proper gas exchanges within United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which included training and respirator fit testing. Developed a pandemic response program in preparation for the COVID-19 pandemic in January of 2020. The strategy included IAQ efforts, respiratory protection training, and in May of 2020 air monitoring and swab sampling were added to determine if viral particles were present in the workspace and if viral particulates had been present by sampling air ducts. Developed ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for dozens of companies, which included an ISO certification for a construction firm operating on mine sites. Created and managed the Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance program for the nation’s largest car transport company which yielded a 50% reduction in citations and 80% reduction of collisions within its first year. Implemented zero landfill strategies, in which the greatest success took an annual output of $250 thousand dollars to the landfill and after a strategic redesign it changed to $1.1 million intake from waste.
