I am being trained to be a future leader within the company. I'm learning new management skills, all about ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and how to be profitable in the recycling industry.

I previously managed the Aberdeen branch of Ward Oil Company Inc. My job as manager was over a service station, convenient store, and bulk plant. My job entailed making sure all the different departments were as efficient as possible. I also trained new employees, processed invoices, created spreadsheets, and managed finances. Following that position I became the Trucking and Safety Coordinator. This entailed managing personnel and organizing their daily trucking routes. I frequently performed “ride alongs” to ensure that the drivers were practicing safe work habits as well as following company policies. I was also in charge of safety over the entire company. This included quarterly safety training to all of the employees as well as company compliance of OSHA regulations.

As the Live-in-Manager my duties started at night when the staff went home for the evening. I was in charge of running and maintaining the Inn and guests.
