I’m an Electrical and Information Engineer, with a particular interest in computer graphics and machine learning, and an experienced VFX artist and supervisor with over a decade’s experience at some of the world's top VFX companies. I completed my BSc. Eng (Electrical and Informational Engineering) at the University of the Witwatersrand. My skills include design, electronics, programming (C++, python), control systems and academic research along with supervision, lighting, rendering, look development, texturing, scripting and some animation and fx work, using Maya, Houdini, Renderman, Katana, Arnold, Zeno, Nuke and Photoshop. I am very experienced at using computer animation and rendering technologies to create exciting and innovative work for feature films. I am a good teacher, and have experience designing curricula for visual effects courses.Additionally, I am trained in the fields of theatre, performance, writing, and storytelling. I am interested in the creation of unique, beautiful and engaging interactions with emerging and existing technologies. I am highly literate, friendly, intelligent and enjoy working with others, as a leader or collaboratively. I have experience as a show and sequence lead on several feature films, and have worked as a CG supervisor. I am confident working to tight deadlines using proprietary and commercial software in a professional production environment.I'm always looking for opportunities to further develop my technical and artistic skills.
