When I was younger I never considered myself to be leader material. I always maintained a solid work ethic, but I was really quiet and shy. I only thought a leader was responsible for making motivational speeches for the masses until my sophomore year in high school. That year before the football season started, my coach told me, "You are one of the leaders of this team, you have a lot of teammates counting on you and looking up to you."It was then when I realized that my teammates were looking up to my hard work ethic and counted on me being responsible for our teams well being on and off the field. Toward the end of the season I was able to acquire the self confidence to also become an avid communicator. After graduating college, I believe my course acquired knowledge, alongside my solid work ethic, trustworthiness, self confidence and efficient communication skills, enhanced me to be a strong leader and great team player.
