I began my career fascinated by travel, intending to consult destinations on how to balance the positive and negatives impacts of tourism. SEO may seem like a far cry from sustainable tourism development. But search and travel equate for me as iterative processes of discovery and curiosity.Professionally, I cultivate the awareness between human beings that drives good SEO. Devs, engineers, content creators, marketers, and data analysts all need to understand different facets of SEO. They also need to speak and work with one another constructively. My specialty is in supplementing existing knowledge gaps about how cross-functional coordination between those groups gets done, and in making knowledge about collaboration across boundaries accessible, practical, and powerful for all in the SEO world.After managing SEO/SEM for Sports Warehouse Inc. in roles spanning Offenburg, Germany to San Luis Obispo, California, I became Director of Client Services and later VP of Client Services and Account Management for Searchmetrics, leading and coordinating Client Success, SEO Consulting, Data Services, and Account Management teams.It was only natural after this experience in catalyzing inter-departmental translation to co-found previsible.io, which provides SEO consulting, education and recruitment for Fortune 500 clients. Previsible works to enable, develop, and expand our clients’ internal SEO teams through perceptive recruiting, and versatile and creative SEO education. We identify and assess talent relative to a client organization’s specific goals, and interview candidates in light of those needs to make fine-tuned, precision staffing decisions. On the other side of the effort to pair the right people with the right position, I co-host the Voices of Search podcast, which equips SEOs with strategic and tactical insights to progress their careers.
