I'm a computer engineer, graduated from the Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, class of 2005. I've been working for the past decade on scientific programming projects, I mostly work in these fields: modelling, simulation, huge data sets, computational geometry, data visualization (mostly OpenGL and it variants), optimization and performance enhancement (mostly C++), Algorithms and Algorithmic Analysis, Evolutionary Algorithms (genetic algorithms, neural networks ..etc). I've been involved in projects related to these fields: Structural analysis, Civil Engineering, Road Construction, Site Excavation, Energy harvesting devices, Laser scanning processing, Environmental Hazards (huge dust clouds modeling and simulation), 3D meshing and visualization of 3D Objects (computational geometry, 3D intersection, mesh generation...etc), Robot navigation based on radar scans. I also have experience with parallel programming (open MP and MPI in C++).
