The role of flight attendant was dually rewarding for me. Not only was I able to travel all over the country and the world, but I was able to personalize exceptional, first-rate customer service for so many airline passengers along the way. By performing the duties of the position that all plane travelers are aware of—greeting passengers, assisting with luggage, demonstrating use of safety equipment, serving meals and beverages and administering first aid, as needed—I helped to ensure the safety and comfort of all on board. Verifying compliance with federal regulations prior to take off and landing, in an amenable way was my proud contribution to the success of each flight, thus positively influencing the image of United Airlines in the travel, transportation and tourism industry. Over time, I also gained a thorough fund of knowledge about business travel and aircrafts, i.e. charter jets, Boeing, and private planes.
