As a dedicated Massage Therapy student at Algonquin College, I am passionate about using the power of touch therapy to enhance the quality of life for the older adult population. My commitment to this field is not just academic, but also personally rooted.My journey into massage therapy began in healthcare settings, where I witnessed the critical need for compassionate care. This understanding deepened when I supported my grandmother’s transition into aged care homes—a pivotal experience that forged a profound connection with the geriatric community and solidified my desire to make a meaningful difference.I firmly believe in the transformative potential of massage therapy to improve seniors’ well-being. My mission is to combine growing expertise with genuine empathy to deliver personalized, therapeutic care. By fostering wellness, promoting rehabilitation, and addressing individual needs, I aim to ensure that every client, particularly seniors, receives the attentive and compassionate care they deserve.In addition to working with older adults, I have provided care to clients across the lifespan, addressing diverse needs, including prenatal massage, pain management, scar treatment, lymphatic drainage, and sports therapy. My hands-on experience includes working with patients of all ages and conditions. Shadowing massage therapy in various multidisciplinary settings has deepened my understanding of the importance of collaborating with all rehabilitation practitioners to provide the best and most equitable care for patients.
