Astro is the largest media group based in Malaysia, and ambitious to operate the business across whole SEA region. I joined Astro to build the next generation entertainment roadmap of Astro, including Tamago.live and eGGNetwork, which targets the whole SEA region.I am responsible for providing product advice to the live operation team of lifestyle and gaming content and the formulation of the Product Management Department’s vision and impart that vision to sub-department including the software engineering team to make sure all the teams are aligned to the same unified vision.Besides the duty of product manager, I also share the cutting-edge technology of cloud computing and video streaming to help the team improve the product quality and system analysis and help to implement the whole data pipeline to collect and truly understand the users.Thru team up with talents from China, Vietnam, Singapore, India, and Philippines we discover how to adapt the strategy of past successful experience in China live streaming industry and how to deal with the challenging network status in SEA. Strategy and execution.In the development of strategy and product roadmap, we define the pain point and target customers, survey and target competitors, build the competition barriers, including technical and business barriers, and create the go to market strategy. From 2017-2018Shoplus is a product build by iKala interactive Media which combines e-commerce and live streaming to monetize live content. In StraaS.io, we discovered the enormous potential of applying live streaming in the e-commerce field with traffic diversion. Shoplus helps the sellers in social networks (Facebook, IG, Line … etc.) to sell by live and post. I spend most of my time on product development and operation. I work with the team to build product roadmap including e-commerce backend, chatbot, and mobile live streaming client and also construct the metrics from data to events to start our growth. Moreover, also manage engineer team including multimedia, infrastructure, application, and mobile developers and make technical and business decision by balancing the technical tradeoff and business cost.From 2016 to 2017StraaS.io is a SaaS (software as a service) built by iKala Interactive Media. With the mission of "enable your online video business", aiming to help all the enterprise to easily adapt video, live streaming and AI technologies in their service to upgrade their business.In StraaS.io, we build up the sales pipeline (from an account manager, technical consultant to customer success manager), running a scrum development team and evolve our organization structure with different missions.

Work with the team in iKala to build world-class live streaming cloud service with scalable streaming capability, optimized network infrastructure and scalable real-time interactive messaging.• As a senior engineer in the startup company, my role is to launch and develop new features to fulfill the company's business opportunity and provide infrastructure and system design opinions to the core team to ensure the business decision is executable. There are three important parts of our systems.Design and develop instant messaging backend (Used by Livehouse.in and StraaS.io) to support hundreds of thousands concurrent user interacting simultaneously in the live scenario. This system also provides content management and support ACL(access control list) configuration. •I also design and implement HLS web player handling the problem of the time difference between each user in live broadcasting. This player future focus on providing live streaming audiences to minimize the side effect of the difference of latency.•Design NoSql and relational data schema to provide higher read efficiency and scalability of all the data occupying large storage size. Build the connection between the business problems and technical data schema and optimize the trade-off.
