The job as Deck Officer on board the Royal Danish Yacht DANNEBROG is many-sided. My primary jobs are as a navigator and leader of the Deck Division. The Deck Division consists of one sergeant and up to 18 conscripts. During the winter, when DANNEBROG is laid up, I´m Company Officer for the conscripts and in charge of the education, that makes the conscripts capable of boarding DANNEBROG at springtime. Onboard the naval ships you usually carry more than one cap. I´m for example:●Navigational Officer: Responsible for the navigational planning and sailing●Officer of the watch: Responsible for the shift and the ship in harbor. ●Company Officer: I´m In charge of the area specific education of the conscripts to prepare them to sail onboard DANNEBROG. I´m link between DANNEBROG´s management, DANNEBROG´s educators/platoon leaders, DANNEBROG's personnel, infirmary and the different schools involved.●Educational Officer: Responsible for the naval cadets education onboard DANNEBROG, which includes coaching, development and feedback. ●Sports Officer: Responsible for planning the sport.●Chairman of the Media Commission: Making sure that the conscripts are doing a book and movie of the time onboard Besides this I constantly try seek to improve my skills – primarily leader skills – through education. (Mainly in the winter time)

I´m for example:●Navigational Officer: Responsible for the navigational planning and sailing in the arctic.●Officer of the watch: Responsible for the shift and the ship in harbor. ●Educational Officer (Cadets): Responsible for the naval cadets education onboard THETIS, which includes coaching, development and feedback. ●Educational Officer (Conscripts): Responsible for the conscripts education onboard THETIS.●Sports Officer: Responsible for planning the sport.
